Matthew 24 versus 1 Thessalonians 4 – Rapture is in Both

Matthew 24 versus 1 Thessalonians 4 – The Rapture is in Both

By Thomas Taylor

I have created a simple graph that lets you see both passages side-by-side to see that they are not just similar but are in fact describing the exact same event.

Matthew 24 compared to 1 Thessalonians 5
Matthew 24 compared to 1 Thessalonians 5

Matthew 24:30, 31 IS the rapture of the Church. Therefore, all that proceeds Matt. 24:30 are signs that precede the rapture of the Church, thus the doctrine of immanency is proven false.

So how can you say that the chart above is describing the exact same event when the angels are sent out with a great trumpet sound,
and Paul says Jesus will descend with the sound of the Trumpet of God?

Second, since when does a shout equate to power?
shout A loud cry.
A vehement and sudden outcry, expressing joy, exultation, animated courage, or other emotion; also, a loud call to attract attention at a distance, to be heard by one hard of hearing, or the like.

power: The ability or capacity to act or do something effectively.

Pastor Thomas Taylor

Thanks for your comment but I’m not following. Both Matthew and Paul in 1 Thess says the angels will sound trumpets…of God. Also, I didn’t say a shout equates to power. So again, I’m not following.
